Student Employee of the Year Nominations

We are excited to announce that Pittsburg State University is celebrating our 2022-2023 Annual Student Employee of the Year Award during National Student Employment Week, April 9-15, 2023. With many students employed yearly, we ask that you help us recognize and reward their valuable services to the University. Amongst them are exceptional student employees that make an outstanding contribution to your office. You can honor your student's hard work by nominating him/her for this award.

Following the guidelines assembled by the National Student Employment Association, the nomination process has changed this year. Nominations should be in letter format (2 page maximum) and include the following requirements:

Briefly describe why you are submitting the student for recognition
Briefly outline your student employee's accomplishments over this past year and how it pertains to the five categories below and/or how they have contributed to the work place
- Community Service
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Leadership
- Technology and Innovation
- Critical Thinking
Closing statement

A rubric on how the judges will score the form is also provided as guidance on what information to provide.
