Information Sessions & On-Campus Interviews

Information Sessions

Information sessions provide employers with an opportunity to showcase your organization and to network with the students at Pittsburg State University and alumni.

Typically, the purpose of an information session is to promote your organization, and may be held 1) during the resume submission period as a way to collect resumes of potential interview candidates, or 2) without an on-campus interview date as a way to build your brand on campus.

Receptions are generally held the evening before your on-campus interview date, and are intended for the for the candidates on your interview schedule. The purpose of the reception is to provide job candidates with information about your organization, employment opportunities, and career paths. The time normally spent providing this information is freed up, and allows you the opportunity to focus on the candidates.

To learn more information, please call our office at (620) 235-4140, or contact Heather Busch at hbusch@pittstate.edu

On-Campus Interviews

Each year from September through early May, over 200 organizations come to Pittsburg State University to conduct on-campus interviews. We also can assist your organization in scheduling a company information session. These sessions allow you, the employer, the opportunity to visit with students in a bit more casual atmosphere about your organization.
